Voge recalls: the known recall and how to check your motorcycle

The one Voge recall found in public safety databases, the 2024 SR4 traction control recall in Spain, and how to check whether your own Voge has an open recall or service campaign in the EU, the UK, the US and Canada.

We have found one Voge recall in public safety databases: the SR4 in Spain in 2024, for a traction control fault. That does not mean no other campaign exists. Many fixes are done by dealers as service campaigns or software updates during a routine service, and those are not always published.

The known recall

Model Country Date Problem Action
SR4 Spain Recall from 8 July 2024, EU alert published November 2024 A fault in the traction control system can cut the ignition while overtaking The importer recalls the scooters from owners

The alert rates the risk as serious, because losing power during an overtake can cause a crash. It also states that the scooter did not comply with the EU regulation on the approval of two and three wheeled vehicles. It names the model only as SR4, so the version and production dates covered are not public. The SR4 Max sold in Spain at the time is the most likely match.

For an SR4 or SR4 Max bought in Spain from 2022 to 2024, the dealer can confirm whether the work has been done. The traction control behaviour that owners still describe on updated scooters is covered in SR4 Max traction control, fuel gauge and clutch take-up.

How to check your own Voge

  • Any country: ask a Voge dealer to check the VIN. Dealers see service campaigns that are never published as recalls.
  • European Union: search for "Voge" on the EU Safety Gate site, which lists vehicle recalls reported by member states.
  • United Kingdom: enter the make and model on the government's vehicle recall check.
  • United States and Canada: search by VIN at NHTSA and on the Transport Canada recall site. We found no Voge recall in either at the time of writing.

Software updates are not recalls

Several Voge models receive dashboard or engine software updates at the dealer, and some owners notice side effects afterwards, such as the DS900X odometer reset covered in DS900X odometer reset after a firmware update. These updates are worth asking about at each service, but they are not safety recalls.

Faults reported by owners, model by model, are on the issues page.
